In September, capacity occupancy in Bosnia and Herzegovina was 40 percent
In Bosnia and Herzegovina in September of this year, tourists made 188,634 visits, which is 18.6 percent more compared to September 2022. In the total number of overnight stays, the participation of domestic tourists in September was 31 percent, while 69 percent was the participation of foreign tourists.
The number of overnight stays by foreign tourists in September was 24.8 percent higher than in September 2022. In the structure of overnight stays by foreign tourists in September 2023, the most overnight stays were achieved by tourists from: Serbia (9.8 percent), Croatia (9.0 percent), Turkey (8.7 percent), Saudi Arabia (8.5 percent), Germany (5.7 percent), Slovenia (5.0 percent), USA (4.4 percent), France (3.5 percent) and Poland with (3.3 percent), which is a total of 57.9 percent. Tourists from other countries accounted for 42.1 percent of overnight stays.
