As part of a project financed by the European Union, on December 15, a call worth two million KM was announced for a measure of support for investments in primary agricultural production.
Through a public call, the European Union (EU) will support agricultural holdings that contribute to stabilizing/strengthening production competitiveness and increasing the level of productivity of primary agricultural production.
Support will be provided through modernization and introduction of new technologies and innovations, improvement of product quality, hygiene and food safety, promotion of good business practices and sustainable development through improvement of natural resource management, environmental protection, worker protection and food safety, and contributions to mitigating the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Support funds per application can amount from 40,000 KM to a maximum of 150,000 KM (without VAT). Eligible investments include the purchase of tractors, machines and other agricultural machinery for farmers in Bosnia and Herzegovina. For each project, the applicant must ensure his own co-financing in the amount of a minimum of 35 percent of the total amount of eligible costs of the proposed investment. The maximum amount of grants through the support measure is 65 percent of the total amount of eligible costs of the proposed investment for all sectors.
