In the first nine months of 2023, growth was achieved compared to 2022.
The BiH Statistics Agency has published data on tourist visits and overnight stays for the period from January to September this year. In the mentioned period, there were 1.3 million tourist visits, which is 19.1 percent more compared to the same period last year. There were almost 2.9 million overnight stays, which is 14.9 percent more compared to the same period last year.
In the total number of overnight stays, the share of domestic tourists is 30.7 percent, while the share of foreign tourists is 69.3 percent.
Among foreign tourists, the most nights were tourists from Croatia (13.6 percent), Serbia (12.4 percent), Turkey (7.7 percent), Slovenia (6.2 percent), Saudi Arabia (5.9 percent), Germany (4.9 percent), the United Arab Emirates (3.4 percent) and the United States of America (3.3 percent).
