Electoral Assembly
The World Bosniak Congress (WBC) appointed new bodies and, through amendments to the statute, unanimously voted to change the name to the World Bosnian-Bosniak Congress during the regular session held on December 21, 2024. The regular session was attended by 60 members of the SBK, and in addition to the appointment of new bodies, the Work Report for 2023, the decision on changes to the Statute, and the Rules of Procedure of the Assembly of the SBK were considered and adopted. Prof. was voted as the president of the Senate of SBK. Enver Karahmet, Zlatko Sahadžić was appointed president of the Executive Council, while prof. Academician Nedžad Korajlić, Selma Mašnić and Vedad Musakadić. The president of the SBK, Mirsad Čaušević, also addressed the audience, congratulating the elected members, and emphasizing that the SBK faces great challenges and demanding work in order to spread the truth, on which every quality relationship is based. He particularly emphasized the importance of the Wikipedia project, which is being worked on by a team of young people with the aim of presenting true information about the history of our country and the events that marked and particularly influenced life in Bosnia and Herzegovina. "Wikipedia is a project that we paid a lot of attention to, considering that this is a platform that everyone accesses in case they want to get useful information on a certain topic. Unfortunately, those who deny the existence of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Bosnian language and our identity spread a series of misinformation on this platform. It took a long time to correct certain claims, and much still needs to be corrected. We did not give up, because giving up on our homeland is never an option. On stage, we have a true and committed struggle, a struggle between truth and lies that are being marketed to erase and change history and everything that has happened over the years. With that, we must be much stronger in the fight for the truth, because the truth is the only basis for raising future generations, for nurturing good relations, mutual respect and progress in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also in the region," said Čaušević. Within the session, the vice president of SBK Vedad Musakadić from the United States of America spoke to those present via video link, expressing his gratitude and joy for the trust shown. During his address, he emphasized that the fight for our homeland continues continuously, and that spreading the truth is the duty of all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the aim of building a secure future for all its peoples. President of the SBK Assembly, dr. Tarik Kurbegović greeted the attendees and took over the chairmanship of the assembly, leading it through all items on the agenda, and at the end congratulated the newly elected members. During the assembly, the newly elected president of the SBK Executive Council, Zlatko Sahadžić, addressed the audience and expressed his special gratitude to the BiH diaspora, which finances the majority of all SBK projects. "In our work, we especially rely on cooperation with branches in the diaspora, whose support for projects of great importance for BiH has never been absent. We have been cooperating with the BNF for years, with which we are actively working on the realization of significant and above all useful activities and projects, and we are pleased that we have recently established cooperation with the Hastor Foundation. It is important to point out that the financing of SBK is done exclusively through members and through various donations, and not from the budget, even though the projects and activities we realize are aimed at the common good. We hope that this will change in the years to come, and that we will be recognized as an important link in the chain of those working to build a stronger and more stable state. We have gathered a large number of eminent experts, academics and people whose work and activities are very important in Bosnia and Herzegovina and beyond, and our membership is growing significantly from year to year. We are happy that our idea has been recognized and acknowledged, and we will continue to fight for the truth in order to preserve our country" - said Sahadžić. Among others, the regular session was attended by Mufti Sandžački, Hafiz Abdurrahman ef. Kujević, President of the Board of Directors of the Bosniak National Foundation, and many other eminent figures from the cultural and social life of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the diaspora.
