Prof. Dr. Muamer Bezdrob
Muamer Bezdrob was born on September 7, 1973 in Čajnič, where he completed primary and secondary school. During the defensive-liberation war (1992-1995), he was a member of the Army of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina. He graduated from the Faculty of Agriculture and Food in Sarajevo in 2003. He completed his postgraduate studies at the same faculty in 2009. He defended his doctoral dissertation at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food in Sarajevo in 2016, thereby earning the right to the scientific degree of Doctor of Agricultural Sciences.
As an employee of the Faculty of Agriculture and Food in Sarajevo, he actively participates in the teaching of all three study cycles (I. II. III.) where he is the holder of a large number of subjects. Since his election to the position of assistant professor, he has been the mentor of a large number of final theses in the first and second cycles of study, and a member of the commissions for the defense of the final theses of the first and second cycles.
He published the book Production of Perennial Fodder Plants and the Application of Agricultural Mechanization (2021) and the practicum Grasslands for Special Purposes (2024), and as an author or co-author he published forty-one scientific papers in internationally recognized journals and four expert papers. He reviewed a large number of scientific papers presented at international scientific and professional conferences of agriculture and food industry. He served as the head of the Department of Fodder Plants and Grasslands. He was also the manager of the Institute for arable farming, vegetable growing and fodder plants. He is currently a representative in the Council of the Department of Animal Husbandry and a member of the Council of the Department of Plant Production at the Faculty of Agriculture and Food.
